I think it's important for students to study economics because it describes how businesses or those who will someday be entrepreneurs. It also is very interesting to me because I didn't know why business owners do the things the way they do. For example, I did not know what the reasoning behind black Friday was. It's interesting to find out because now I know it's all for a reason.

To learn about how our economy works and functions, this information can help us for the rest of our lives. When we are older, we will have to support ourselves by getting a job, and receiving a pay check, but what is all of this business about tax? The reason I think Economic is a quality topic for students to learn is so they can better understand the business world. Before we began studying Economics I was obvilious to the reasoning behind Black Friday; I had no clue that business lowered their prices so much to get in the "black", or positive as far as money. Nor did I know that the price of a product is determined by the supply and demand for the good. I also learned that nations depend on eachother to produce goods that can be used internationally, known as economic interdependence. Lastly I've learned about the factors of production and how they can affect the supply of a good or service.
Economics is the base businesses, without it the markets would be chaotic and disorderly. Before learning about economics, I would have never known the exact meanings of supply and demand. I wouldn't have known about the graphs, charts, and etc, that keep supply and demand balanced. I would have never know what "Black Friday" really meant. So I think students learning about economics is important to know, so we can better understand the market, and why prices are what they are. Now I can go to to different stores and look at the same product and be like "Hey, the business that produced this must not have had subsidies because their price is so much higher than this product, and their the exact same."
